
These cookie dough balls are super easy to make and they make the perfect after-dinner healthier dessert or mid-afternoon snack when you need a pick-me-up. Each ball comes in at around 8 grams of protein and really does taste like cookie dough! Of course, they are gluten free and plant based as well.
What Equipment Do I Need?
- Measuring Cups & Spoons
- Small Mixing Bowl
- Bowl
- Plate

Ingredients
- Natural Creamy Peanut Butter – I used Teddie’s.
- Maple Syrup
- Vanilla Extract
- Plant Based Protein Powder – I used Sprout Living Organic Pea Protein Powder. It can be bought on amazon.
- Gluten and Dairy Free Dark Chocolate Chips – I used the Enjoy Life brand.
- Super Fine Almond Flour

Substitutions
- Peanut Butter – If you aren’t a peanut butter fan, you can swap this out for almond or cashew butter.
- Maple Syrup – Agave nectar or honey – if you’re not vegan – would work as well.

Recipe Tips
- Don’t skip out on the flay sea salt – it makes a difference! That salty-sweet combo is pure perfection.
- After these have been frozen, you can store them in the freezer or the fridge – it just depends on if you want a softer or harder consistency.

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Balls
Cookie dough that’s packed with protein and makes the perfect healthier snack or dessert?! Sign me up! These are super easy to make and come out at around 8 grams of protein each.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup natural creamy peanut butter
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 scoops plant based protein powder (36 grams ~ 1/4 cup)
- 1/2 cup super fine almond flour
- 2/3 cup dairy and gluten free dark chocolate chips
- flaky sea salt to top
Instructions
- Combine the peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla, protein powder, and almond flour in a small mixing bowl.
- Mix well until a dough consistency is reached.
- Add 1/3 cup of the chocolate chips and fold in.
- Roll the dough into 12 balls, placing them on a plate. Freeze while melting the remaining chocolate chips.
- Put the remaining 1/3 cup chocolate chips in a bowl and melt in the microwave for 30 seconds intervals, stirring after each interval.
- Take the balls out of the freezer and drizzle each with the melted chocolate. Top each ball with a pinch of flaky sea salt.
- Freeze for 30 minutes and enjoy!
