Okay, I may be a little late on the blended oats trend here, but better late than never right?!? If you’re a fan of overnight oats or oatmeal, then you’ll love these blended oats! They’re the perfect two-person breakfast for Valentine’s Day – sweet, yet healthier, and made for two people. If you’re a fan of pb and j and chocolate, then this is definitely the perfect breakfast for you. It’s plant based, gluten free, and filled with healthy fats, grains, and proteins. Give these blended oats a shot – they’re super easy to make!
Overnight Prep
These are slightly different than overnight oats in that they can be prepped the night before, but they can also be made the morning of too. It just depends on how much time you have in the morning. I am personally a huge fan of already having your breakfast ready to go in the morning, especially during the week, because I don’t want to lose out on extra sleep to having to make breakfast!
What Equipment Do I Need?
As you may have guessed, for blended oats, you do need a blender to blend the oats! Other than this, you will need a small bowl to melt the chocolate in and a spoon to stir it. You will also need two glasses or jars to put the oats in for serving. Other than this, nothing else is needed!

Ingredients
- Gluten Free Rolled Oats – Make sure to buy the oats that state gluten free – not all oats are gluten free due to cross contamination.
- Frozen Mixed Berries
- Flax Seed Meal – This provides you with your daily dose of Omega-3’s!
- Natural Peanut Butter – As you’ll notice with any of my other recipes that contain nut butter, I always opt for the no sugar or salt added brands.
- Maple Syrup
- Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- Dairy Free/Gluten Free Dark Chocolate Chips – As I usually do, I used the Enjoy Life brand for this because they are free of 14 common allergens.

Substitutions
- Frozen Mixed Berries – If you’d prefer a different type of frozen fruit, you’re welcome to use that instead! This would also go well with frozen banana or you could get really wild and try something like mango.
- Peanut Butter – If you aren’t a fan of peanut butter, you can always choose a different nut butter.
- Maple Syrup – If you’re not vegan, you can use honey instead. Another option is agave nectar.
- Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk – If there’s a different type of non dairy milk you’d prefer, feel free to use that instead!
